A few weapons from your bitz and pieces bin for the zombies and a different shade of "dead" paint for the ghouls and I reckon you have an all-purpose ghoul or zombie unit which you could mix up to deploy larger units and save yourself a few quid.
Looks like that game made everyone interesting! I hope I could see some snapshots of it.
